Little Yellow Writing Hood awarded with a Red Dot in Communication Design 2006
“The Red Dot Design Award is held annually by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. With its more than 6,000 entries from 52 countries in the categories ‘red dot award: product design’, ‘red dot award: communication design’ and ‘red dot award: design concept’ it is one of the largest and most renowned international design competitions. The special exhibition ‘red dot award: communication design 2006’, which presented all the award-winning works of the competition, was on display in the red dot design museum until 7 January 2007. Just in time for the award ceremony the 'red dot communication design yearbook 2006/2007' has been published. The yearbook has become an established reference work of current design.”
Little Yellow Writing Hood
Little Yellow Writing Hood is a short film we created and produced for ‘FiFFteen’ the traveling exhibition celebrating the 15th anniversary of FSI FontShop International's ‘FontFont library’. Positioned as a typographic fairy tale, ‘Little Yellow Writing Hood’ uses over 300 typefaces from the FontFont Library, resulting in an elaborate but most extraordinary type specimen.
“When Mom sends Little Yellow Writing Hood away to surprise her busy Grandmother, a wolf tricks the innocent girl into taking a roundabout way. When Little Yellow Writing Hood finally arrives at the foundry, Grandmother’s pixels seem a lot bigger than she remembered...”
