W+K TokyoLab commissioned us to conceive & produce a video for Japanese television
W+K Tokyo Lab commissioned us to create a video and sound for an episode of Tokyo. Now, a 5 min. sub-program within NHK’s ‘POP JAM DX’, a TV show devoted to Japanese pop culture. Solely based on AIM interviews that W+K had with foreign creatives about the influence Japan/Tokyo has on their work, we did extended research and submerged ourselves in exported Japanese traditions and contemporary visual culture. As a result we created ‘TokyoChat’, a 01:24 min. long and completely typographic motion piece, representing Japan 'Now', exported to and visualized in our foreign minds.
In addition, we designed the interstitials, sound and program ID used throughout the rest of this episode of Tokyo.Now.
