As part of the Fresh Talent Series we were invited to lecture for AIGA Chicago
The Chicago Chapter of the AIGA asked us to design our own invitation for ‘Fresh Talent 2006’, an annual event that puts the spotlight on unexpected emerging design talent. Using this opportunity to proclaim the title of our lecture: “YESTERDAY I LOST MY HELVETICA”, we customized the grid of the traditional AIGA Chicago invitation so it could serve our own design approach. At the event itself, we gave a presentation of -as well as insight into- the concepts behind our work in which we advocate that there should always be an answer to the generic universal voice, so commonly used in today’s design.
