ED Awards Catalogue 2010
May 2010 (p.24-25, 298) European Design
Gold + Jury Prize
This exhibition's design does a fantastic job in getting parents and children interested in letters, and it does it in an engaging and fresh way, without being patronizing. Letterlab is visually stimulating and rich, and goes beyond the clichés, showing that children can enjoy complexity when it makes sense.
The European Design Awards not only present a remarkable picture of the current state of European design, but they also play an important part in promoting and encouraging standards and ambitions in design. They seek to raise the status of graphic design in European society by presenting the very best-quality work, by pointing out new directions and further establishing design as an economic, socially critical factor. This catalogue reproduces all the winners, merits and finalists in the European Design Awards 2010.
