It is our belief that...
Every design problem deserves a unique and custom-drafted solution; therefore, we do not differentiate between cultural and commercial projects. We seek rich experiences and distinct messages, so we utilize typography as a tool to offer a diversity of custom alternatives to (neo)modernistic generic communication and globalist banality. Our work acts as a bridge, giving form, representation and physical tactility to the intangible, conceptual, digital and ephemeral. Craft, calligraphy, ornament and abundance in concert with technology, history, theory and criticism comprise the common tools we utilize to reach this goal. We believe that communicative experiences are most effective when they seduce and/or provoke the viewer (...) Strange Attractors Design, the international studio of Ryan Pescatore Frisk and Catelijne van Middelkoop, creates innovative ideas and solutions to influence culture and commerce. Using (typography in) new and traditional media, they produce design solutions for contemporary problems and desires.
