The Annual of the Type Directors Club
The TDC Annual 26 is an 8.5x11.25", 350 page, hardbound volume containing the best of type and typography from the year 2005. The color annual contains full-color illustrations, including the winning selections from entries into the TDC51 Typography Competition, and the winning selections from entries into the TDC2 2005 Type Design Competition. Typography 26 also includes a very special section, celebrating the twenty-sixth anniversary publication of the hardcover Annual, of a reprinting of the original catalog pages from the second TDC Competition from 1955, which was the first to have a printed catalog. Reprinted here in the context of the Annual are many of the classic works of modernist typography from that time.
